Making money for a F2P

Featured Replies

I need some help making money on a F2P account....

I have 400k but I want more...

What are you stats and what skills do you enjoy?

You could try merchanting on the grand exchange, - buy for low then sell for high...

Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig!

Top money makers (based on f2p skill level):

1. Coal mining - very good and reliable monetary source

2. Iron/Rune Essence mining - a quick monetary source compared to coal mining, but yields lower profit

3. Air runecrafting - needs at least level 44 to actually earn any profit (assuming you buy essence on ge)

4. Yew woodcutting - yield excellent money, but can be slow and competitive

5. Gold mining - same as Yew, but highly competitive

Other money makers include: leather tanning, making soft clays, and item merchanting

i actually found a way

by mining 2k coal and 1k iron then smelting i was able to make over 600k

Actually, mining coal and iron for steel bar is one of the slower ways to make money. By the time you finished with them, I could have already made as twice as much what you would make.

You could try running Chocolate bars from the shop in Port Sarim. Buy them for around 7 gp each, sell for 70 on the GE. Using a Explorer's Ring it's not that bad.

buy eyes of newt form wizard shop place for 3 gp each and sell at ge for 75 or nearby

thats like.... x25 profit

so turn 40k into... 1M!

wait i think...

40,000...1,000,000

yea yea 40k into 1 mill (or even 40gp into 1k if yer like really poor)

BUT this is VERY time consuming, but thanks to the 'buy 50' and the 'cabbageport' , iit can be done alot faster

just buy eyes port run to draynor bank port run to shop and repeat

every load costs (asuming you have 26 free spaces (unequip ring for faster tele and also the money!)..

78 gp per load...

sell at ~1,875? (proly off...)

so a pretty big profit... ill go check prices and edit...

EDIT oh wow the price dropped... its now around 50....

stilll.....

78gp per load

sell at ~1,250

profit ~ 1175 (estimate)

By slow do you mean slow xp? 'Cause the OP ain't looking for training.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

^ I meant the speed in which you obtain the items.

Please also note that my methods are intended for skillers who want to make money. If you want to make money without training, go with merchanting instead.

How is that at all relevant? The only thing that matters is profit per hour. Unless it's like rune ore where it takes like a minute to mine two ores and a lot of world hopping after that, meaning that it's quite luck-dependent.
