Getting 99 Magic

Featured Replies

Im 89 magic at the moment and was thinking of getting it to 99. But what kind of methods would you all suggest? I would like some sort of cost estimates also. I'm looking for a method that gets atleast 55k xp an hour or more.

Stringing amulets - 350~gp loss per ammy = 83xp (3/4 crafting xp) extremely fast.

Plank make - No freakin' idea but its awesome.

Fire bolt @ metals (with gaunts) faster than alching, hp xp, etc. Profits or barely loses.

You can sell vengeance at PvP hotspots, i dont know how much people offer per cast but I know they buy it.

Pkers ftw

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Enchanting at MTa

DKing to 99 (that's what i mainly did lol)

Fire waving

Ice bursting lobs

Alching (with mage brawlers) in pvp worlds

Yes but kota fails and says lots of very bad ways.

E.G. Fire wave and bursting lobs, uber uber loss.

I get 23k exp/hour at metals and 67-69k exp/hour with alching. I don't think the hp exp adds up to more than the alching exp. Even when added on top of it.

One of my favorite ways to do it is with enchanting in MTA its 69k exp/hour and last I checked (over a year or so ago  ) You didn't lose much although I don't have the exact numbers.

I also hear that just actually doing MTA can provide a profit with buying mages books or infinity items. This I am not certain about though.

I also heard of stunning the dummy in your house as being 80k exp/hour but souls are expensive (or at least they were) so expect to spend quite a bit.

Rock Lobbies are definitely a net loss, but you will get much charms and 100k+ exp/hour.

A lot of people do DK's as the profit made is very nice, but the exp/hour there I am not sure of, if I had to guess I would say max 50k exp/hour?

Apparently, my signature was to big.

Please search for topics, this has been discussed numerous times.

Again... Enchanting diamond bolts: 120-150k xp an hour, loss that's smaller than alching (when I did it).

Btw, whoever suggested to alch with brawler gloves: what a waste! Do bolt enchanting, 600k magic xp an hour! (if you focus extremely). compared to 300k with alching. Brawler gloves are rare enough.

I second this or the old fashioned high alching

Thanks guys, Im leaning towards alching till 94. It should only cost me under 4m to do that. From their I might try enchanting or lunar spells. I wont do this until after 99 fishing so I still have time to plan.
