Tormented Demon (unlisted attack + tactic)

Regarding the Tormented Demon:

This creature can use all 3 styles of attacks. After you attack it with one style for a time, it will become immune to that style and you must continue to fight it with another style.

It uses a 4th attack (magical), which can be anticipated and prayed against before it is launched. In mid-combat, the demon will roar, and approximately 4 seconds later a magic attack will be sent to a random square near your character, similar to the Corporeal beast's non-target attack. It can damage multiple players at once. Here is the picture of what to looks for:

Tactic: Switch prayer to mage when the demon is roaring as shown in the picture. You will be 100% immune to the non-homing attack.

After this attack, I would say there is a 75% chance he will change attack styles as well (and if he switches to mage it's even more helpful to have already switched prayers).

This attack can also reach over obstacles, so you must use Protect from Magic to avoid it!

I just thought the 4th attack would be useful to mention somewhere.

Another point: I have found that this is the primary cause of death at Tormented Demons, when they do this delayed attack and follow with an immediate attack, which can lead to a 26-26 KO (if the player wasn't at a high HP level).

Also, it can be highly dangerous if more than one demon does it at once, and you do not protect in time, as this can lead to at most a 26-26-26 hit.

You want to add also that they can do it even if they can't reach you, so, all it takes is for them to target you. (If you have demon on you and hide, it'll eventually use it and hit you)

Yep, thanks for reminding me. I'll add that :)

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.
