Driver Updating

Featured Replies

Hi! I need to know a safe site that I can download the following drivers for my system (Pentium II Toshiba Portege 7020CT laptop, Windows XP Prof. Edition). I tried searching the main Toshiba site but it lists a bunch of downloadable files and I do not know what I need. Other sites I visit list the updates I need but make me pay to download them (not gonna happen). I also tried going into control panel then selecting driver updates from there but it says it cannot find the necessary software. I have also tried going to windowsupdate.com to see what it could find there, but no driver updates availible! :?

It says I need driver updates for all of those. BTW I got my driver updating list from http://drivershq.com , if that matters.

Well actually your computer should have come with a recovery disk full of every driver installed on your computer.

For further drivers download it ONLY from the manufactors website, 99% of the time they will have them for download.

Heh, it didn't :) I actually got this fairly powerful baby from my workplace. They were going out of business and since I knew the owner pretty well he let me have it with all the accessories for just $150 ( )

Unfortunately, no software/CD-roms were included and I upgraded to Windows XP from Windows 95, all other programs and information were wiped and I think that a few of the drivers I currently need got wiped as well. However, I have not had much trouble with the laptop, and I just need to download/update the drivers. Thanks for your advice, I guess I will search the toshiba site a bit more closely then.

Yeah toshibia should definitly have all it avaiable.

I hope it all works out for you, also I belive toshibia re-vamped their Customer Support so they might actually be able to send you the drivers disk if you give them a call and read them your product number and explain your situation.

Good luck!
