I just got back into playing, but I've got no one to talk to. Playing without any friends is boring so I'd love it if some tip.it'ers could populate my friends list.

Not a very good idea. It's counterproductive because people will probably look down on you and think of you as non-friend material since you are making a desperate impression. Just post around here and you'll realize you share the same interests and ideals with others and then eventually you can add them, message them, etc. etc.

If you want people to talk to, try joining the Forsakenmage clan chat. Plenty of Tiffers in there and they're all pretty friendly.

Agreed. Make friends because you run into them randomly in the world and because you share common traits, not because you want to be forced into it. The ironic thing is that many of the users here are so privy enough to play with private and public chat off, to be secluded away from the world so they can focus on the game itself. However, friends are good and you'll find that you can't really advertise yourself to find friends - they just happen when you really enjoy the company of one another.

I suggest against this. It's all preference, but Forsakenmage's clan chat seems to be revolving around the few regular users who go in there so you may be out casted in a way. I suggest using Tip.It's official chat #runescape on mIRC which can be found here.

If you don't know anyone in there/don't think stupid things are funny, it's probably not a good place to look for TIF friends.^^

I've always found the best way to make friends is to simply talk to the people you see. They're on at the same time as you, doing similar stuff to what you're doing, so you've already got common ground.

Don't worry dude, I once too was a nobody when I started out here. Just post regularly on random threads and you'll get noticed after the first few hundred posts or so :thumbsup: . Hell, I'm still not very known here, I would sell my soul just for someone to quote my post (Note, I'm joking) Just post regularly with smart comments yada yada yada and you'll get noticed.
