Promise
Been a while since I've posted on this forum. At the moment, I can't really do anything but vectors. I'd like to get more into effects, making things stand out more or blending in better. Like here for example, Jack's hair catches the sun light and makes it white, and the other dude is all dull. Jack stands out more, and the shading on his hair completely throws me off. Any help? I used the pen tool to cut them out, I find it much easier than the magnetic lasso. Ouchy
To be honest, It doesn't appeal to me. I don't like how the Renders, or Cut-Outs, are quite dull, and the Sepia filter doesn't look good on them. The background is alright, but the text in it is quite distracting, with the 'HUI' being the major one. Now the main text doesn't look to good either. I had to squint and go close to the screen to read it. Maybe just stick to keeping it all one colour, then cutting out the inside. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
Jopie211
Well, first of all, I'd get rid of the text. The font is alright, but the placement and effect (pixely outline, semi-transparent in the middle) makes it really distracting. Also, the signature does definitely need more blending. Not really sure what you could do to make the renders stand out less, maybe try smudging some of the edges slightly. Might not work though, because of the floating head-ness; you wouldn't want to just chop off an ear for example. As for the different lighting, try messing around with the contrast on the layer with the guy on the left. pixel avvy by me deviantART
