OK, I have a windows xp computer and I believe there is something wrong with the taskbar. Whenever I open a program, it does not display on the taskbar, even if i minimize it. I have tried tinkering with the taskbar options to try to fix it but have found nothing. Does anybody know what to do to fix it. Also, sorry if there is any information I left out.

Just alt-tab to the program a few times and it should show up

It appears that your quicklaunch bar is taking up the whole taskbar. Take the little thing that I've boxed and move it (as illustrated) to the empty box.
