Logging in VIA Firefox

Recommended Posts

I've recently re-activated my account as I had lost my password. When typing in the new password, I get welcome screen. With this screen, I am automatically logged out in a few seconds, and even when I try to go to my control board, it won't even load. I also attempted to get tip.it to send me a re-activation e-mail. This did not work as the system said that my username and e-mail did not match up.

That's what happened to me when loggin in to the forums from Firefox. I switched back to Explorer just to try to log in, which worked. I tried to allow cookies from this site, but that had no effect.

I just wanted to point this out and see if anyone had any solutions to this.

Thank you very much,

Monkey :D

Does it happen specifically for Firefox only in the Tip.It website? Or does it apply to any other log-in website that you use?

Adding to infam0us911's inquiry, monkeyguy139, are your cookies for "forum.tip.it" (NOT "www.tip.it" or "tip.it", as those won't apply properly!) set to "Permanent Allow", and not set to "Permanent Allow For Session"? :geek:

That would be your best bet. If all else fails, uninstall firefox, then reinstall. I have no problems with the latest fire fox. Are you running the latest version?

I find this whole deal weird. I've been using FF since the release of Phoenix, and haven't had this problem...
I know how you feel. I have also had no problems here, and I control my cookie settings completely. Heck, I'm not even on the latest versions, so I'm confused as to what's happening on their end. :?
