Is ring of wealth good or fake? Someone says its good, someone it is fake!

 

Is it true? I think it really increase rare drops!

Runescape officially say it will increase your chance of a rare drop, but that chance is VERY small.

Of course the ring makes a difference... It increases the chances of a monster dropping a rarer item on its "Rare Item" list.

It's cheap and it does increase drop chances. Might as well use it.

 

 

 

If you're fighting a very strong monster, against which you need every bonus point you can get, then you could use a berserker/archer ring if you've got one. But for about 99.9% of everything I kill, I just leave my RoW equipped. It does no harm, and it might help you get that rare that you're wishing for. There's no downside to wearing it, except possibly for the loss of a +1 to one or two of your stats. And one point won't really matter, especially on lower-level monsters such as for slayer tasks.

 

 

 

The only real reason to eschew the ring of wealth is to wear a ring of life, if you're worried about dying and not being able to retrieve your items.

In tests, it boost the drop rate by roughly 5%; this only works for rare drops, so if your fighting something that drops a rare but good drop (i.e. boss monsters) use it; if your fighting something like avansies, with no good rare drops, it's not really worth using.

Well imo the RoW is only worth it when killing stuff that has a moderately rare drop like Rune boots for Nechryaels or Dragon boots for Spiritual mages. But for creatures like Dust devils or Greater demons a berserker ring is much more useful because they have no special drops you want more of (chain doesn't count, it's too rare). A RoW has the biggest impact on your gem drops though, the increase in gems is really noticable even on smaller amounts of creatures.

Dust Devils drop alot of gems so use RoW there

I had once 5 in one task with RoW.

well I needed to kill 100 lesser demons and nothing useful with ring of wealth -.-

 

 

 

but at flesh crawlers I had a nice amount of herbs.... So I think its pretty random.
