How do you make oak larders?

Featured Replies

Ok this question seems really simple and really stupid but I want to make sure I do the best way of making oak larders. I want to train my construction higher from 30 to 33 than make oak larders. I will do 30 to 33 making beds (?) and 33+ doing oak larders.

If I want to do beds/larders how do I do this without having to bank every single time?

Im not 100% on how servants work. Thanks

EDIT:Got 36 con by turning in my long and curved bones.

Pureprayer, you're awesome.

If you do it with a servant, you will never bank. Servants will go to the bank for you, and they will bring any construction material, including oak planks. All you do is talk to them, ask them to go bring something from the bank, then tell them the item, and how much, and they go get it.

Do I also ask them to store flatpacks? Do I make flatpacks?

I believe the best strategy is to go to your house with the saw, hammer, a big pile of oak logs or planks (noted), and a big pile of money. Use the oak logs/planks on the servant to un-note them, then send them to the sawmill if they're logs. When they get back, hand them the next load and build larders while you wait for them to return.

You don't make flatpacks of larders, you destroy/rebuild the larder over and over, I believe.

Rinse and repeat.

Any special way to un-note them or just use it with them?

Later im going to try to use 100 oak logs to try it out.

What I do is send the servant for supplies WHILE I build. That way, when I finish building all the oak larders I can, my servant will be right there with more planks. Then I send him off again. If you run out of planks in your bank, run outside, cut some oaks, and send your servant to the sawmill. Make sure you always have money for the sawmill and to pay your servant.

Well, planks are 250 each, so that's 250*200=50k.

No nails are used with oak planks

I believe the servant charges every five runs (not sure, I don't use them much), so add in 40 times whatever servant you use. Different servants have different costs, you know.

You don't use nails for oak.

200 x 250 (price of oak planks at the sawmill?) + price of your servant. I don't know how often you pay your servant or the exact price of oak at the sawmill, so this is probably wrong, but hopefully you get the idea.

Don't use any butler other than the Regular one. (Demon butlers are a waste) It costs 5k (or 7k) every 5 or so runs.

Its simple really. Bring a Cashpile (I just brought a random cashpile that was more than I was sure I would need.) Noted oak Planks. Saw + Hammer and fill the rest of your invent with unnoted planks.

As soon as you get in send your butler to unnote the planks then begin building and removing larders.

By the time you finish removing the second (or third, don't remember how many it was per invent) larder your butler should be returned and waiting behind you. Talk to him to retrieve your unnoted planks then resend him to unnote more.

Repeat the building and removing process.

Repeat the plank retrieving and unnoting process.
