January 5, 200917 yr I would have to say that I know a considerable amount about the economy just from reading guides here and there and a few history classes. I currently have a Santa Hat that I bought about 2 years ago for 22m. About everything I read said that it would be a wise investment. My thinking was that rares would be destined to go up in price. Not the case. When I come back they're 14m. An 8m difference from when I bought it. I've held on to it for about 3 weeks hoping for prices to rebound but it's not looking like they will. I'm looking at the GE 30 day history. With that I can somewhat accurately predict the future. The past shows that it is going down in [bleep]es. From what I can see it just came down from a [bleep]e which means that there will be a [bleep]e soon. When I see the [bleep]e starting to form, should I sell it? Or should I ignore history and just get out now? There's only one more option and that involves keeping it even though it will go down more. Will it eventually make its way back up to 22m? Help on this would be great. It's tough having that much money wrapped up in one item that's slowly losing money. I'm a tad bit worried. Help would be great. Thank you!
January 5, 200917 yr Most rare items are going down since the grand exchange. Perhaps people are realizing they are not worth having. If i were you, i would sell it now to minimize losses. I mean if it didn't go up when the Santa suit was released, when will it ever go up. O.O

(Although, I'm pretty sure Jagex can now easily just put in a few Santa hats in G.E without us noticing...) Give a man a lighter, and he will be warm for a while.Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.
January 5, 200917 yr Yea, i know they can't make new ones. But why would you get one anyway, other than for looks which arent that good, and lots of people saying you lent it etc. Not worth it in my opinion. O.O

January 5, 200917 yr Just keep it. Right now all rares have hit a slump, especially phats. You are not the only person who bought rares with the thought they'd rise then when GE was released watched as the prices plummeted for whatever reason. Just keep it consider it an un-tradeable holiday item and enjoy the fact that you hold a piece of history. I mean obviously you don't absolutely 100% need the money so just accept the loss, keep your "prize" and move on making money with other methods and training your skills. Whatever it is you do to enjoy this game. Apparently, my signature was to big.
