People buy Yew Longbows (u) because you just add bowstring to it and voila! You have a finished product ready to sell on the GE market. No hassling to cut the log and THEN add bowstrings, just add the strings and you have quick experience.

Dragon platelegs and plateskirts have the SAME exact stats although skirt actually weighs less. Dragon platelegs are more expensive because there is more of a demand on them because of the way they look, and more people want the legs as opposed to the skirt.

Lower weight means you can run for longer.

You get the same exp from fletching a yew log into a yew long (u) as it is to string the yew long(u).

Although you can only string 14 per inventory when you can fletch 27 per inventory.

Which is why a long of people just sell the yew long (u)'s.

They (Yew long strung) high alch for a nice price and are one of the favoured items to high alch.

so if i have a high amount of yew logs... should i fletch it or sell it? i mean... i can fletch yews too but i tot selling the log would make me earn a lot of money. so anyways what is your advice or anyones advice? & how much lost would i have if i fletch the log instead of selling the whole log?

Adding the bowstring to the bow(u) is quicker exp than fletching yew logs to yew longbows(u), but requires more attention. As for the last question selling the logs is the best cash, but making yew longs is a good way to train fletching. If you like fletching and your magic is below 68, then you could make yew longs and high alch them. At 68 MTA (Mage Training Arena) enchanting and Humidify (A spell from the Lunar spellbook that you can use after the completion of the quest Lunar Diplomacy) cast on vials becomes a better way to train magic. The loss per hour depends on the different speeds of fletching, stringing and alching and the gp/hour rate of your main method of money making, so it's difficult to give an estimate on the opportunity cost of this method.

I personally cut my own logs, spun the flax I got from MTK (Manage Thy Kindom, a good money making activity that becomes available after the completion of the quest Throne of Miscallenia), made yew longs and alched them with the nats I crafted for 54 rc (Runecrafting, I'm just going to translate all of the abbreviations since you said you are a rsc player coming back to the game) to get 63 crafting, 68 magic, and a lot of wc and fletching exp. This allowed me to combine a lot of popular training methods and I felt it was a quick way to train those skills at those levels.
