Phil
In Internet Explorer... 1. Click Tools and click Internet Options. 2. Click the Programs tab. 3. Click to select the Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser check box. 4. Click OK. 5. Start Internet Explorer and when you are prompted to make it the default browser, click Yes.
Greatsilverwyrm
For anyone else having this problem.. in Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options > |Programs| and check "Internet Explorer should check tos ee whether it is the default browser" Then next time you restart it, you'll be prompted to set it as the default browser. Rob_Gambino
Yah, the first way didn't work when I was trying to move from netscape to ie a long time ago. Merc's registry key worked perfectly though. It was on a windows 2000 computer, I don't know why it never asked me through a prompt.
