As you know there is only 1 place to mine runite in f2p which is the wilderness. (Above the lava maze) The best thing to do would be to bank at bounty hunter... Your setup/invo should be rune pickaxe, d'hide body/chaps just incase of revs! - and a few lobbies. The most important aspect in mining effeciently is timing when world hopping. - This is an estimate at respawn times which should help you world hop for ore better. * Full World --> 12 minute respawn * 1800 People --> 14 minute respawn * 1600 People --> 16 minute respawn * 1300 People --> 18 minute respawn * 1100 People --> 19 minute respawn * 1000 People --> 20 minute respawn * 600-900 People --> 22 minute respawn * <550 People --> 24 minute respawn The key is to world hop till you have a full invo and bank. Zimbu Posted January 14, 2009 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Lady Shahdie's guide had good tips for Rune mining: viewtopic.php?f=180&t=761848 Might be outdated as I think it was written prior to the pvp worlds update. Keep in mind that the mine itself is single combat, but the areas surrounding it are multi. I recommend Anchovie pizzas and swordies in a 1:2 ratio so you can eat half of pizza and a whole swordie quickly when a rev is on your tail. Replace swordies with wine if you want, not lobs as you're probably not going to attack a rev with green d'hide and a rune pick. Lobs could be ok if you intend to fight off pkers. I'm having fun while powermining. Go figure. I'll take a look at the rune mining guide. eias Posted January 14, 2009 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Well,i recommend powermining iron,would get you around 20-25k per hour i think,and it doesn't matter where you do it,because you will be dropping it,but if you want some profit,then do coal,but it's a mere 15k per hour.
