Questions: Ranged, Magic, Junk

1) How much, from 95 to 99, should 99 Ranged cost me using chins? I haven't done this in ages so does anyone have a guide?

 

2) What are good methods to get 99 Magic, loss isn't a massive problem but speed is very important.

 

3) Do people buy junk?

1.) Assuming you begin training at the start of level 95, I'd say that 1K red chins would give you about.. 180K experience.

 

 

 

So... 13,034,431 - 8,771,558 = 4,262,873/180,000 = Approximately 23.7K chins. Red chins at the moment go for around 688 each, so you'll be spending 16.3M on chins alone. Note that this is a very ROUGH estimate as I don't know whether you'll be using void/eagle eye/hawk eye or not.

 

 

 

As for the estimated cost of the prayer potions you'll be using, I cannot say because it'll all be dependent on your gear. But I used about 20 Prayer Pots (4) per every 1.3K or so chins.

2. Bursting Rock Lobsters - you can get around 200k xp and get 250 crimson charms in 1 hour.

 

 

 

3.I've never seen someone buying junk, but you get rid of junk doing this:

 

Buy shards on rsof, but put 600k junk for every 1m in cash. This always works :thumbup:

Thanks guys, does anybody know about amulet string or the water filling spell as being good exp? Also, are grey chins worth it to reduce the cost as they are so cheap?

Okay, it's decided, I'm going to make a chinning guide after my exams. I've got the pictures and all from getting 99 ranged myself, so it's just text + calcs (which I've already done too).

 

 

 

Anyway:

 

 

 

Grey chins: 205 xp each

 

Red chins: 255 xp each

 

That'll get you the cost of chins easily.

 

 

 

For the time, I use around 1200 chins an hour. In that hour I also use 14 prayer potions and 3 ranged potions. (4 dosers).

 

Tadaaa, you've got all you need.

 

 

 

(note you should use full void, 15% prayer).

 

 

 

For magic: If cash isnt an issue, burst or barrage rock lobsters. I feel terribly sorry that I've done other things than that to 99 mage, cause now I feel bad about going bursting for more charms (I want to get 90-96).

 

If you really dont want that, diamond bolt enchanting is over 120k xp an hour (lots of clicking, very intense though), and when I did it I could more than break even. (pices have changed though, and also I bought bolts for under med, and sold for over med).

basically i can help my friend out by buying his 300k junk he gets 300k i get 300k back for lending my sgs that helps 2 people and leaving me neutral
