cat666
Going to get another stat to 80 this weekend. Theiving! Anyway I can do Pyramid Plunder easily but just need clarification if I am doing it correctly to max the XP. I don't care about sceptres so ignore the gold chest other than in rooms I loot. Currently I am just checking urns in room before my max, once I get to 50% time left I go into max room and loot them all. However I heard checking for snakes gives more XP? Is this true, and if so how much extra time does it take? Ta Trust the Gene Genie!
wurmskin
The experience you get from searching the Gold Chests in the middle of the room is fairly minimal anyway (or at least until around the 5th level), so I don't think you're missing out on much there. From what I've read, yes, you're doing the technique right by checking for snakes on the second to last room and searching the urns on your last room. Its also true that you gain more experience by checking the urn and searching for snakes after that, but many people claim that it is faster just searching the urns without checking. ^ Refresh for a new signature ^
Chumley
Its also true that you gain more experience by checking the urn and searching for snakes after that This is not correct, the xp you get from searching an urn is the same as if you checked for snakes, then searched after you checked. You get 1/3 of the xp for checking for snakes, then 2/3 for searching after you have checked. The fastest XP is to search as many urns as you can in the penultimate room until the timer is just under half, you should be able to get through around 70%-100% of urns in this room, then search all urns inthe final room. Hope that helped.
Bashful
erm.. you can search for snakes AFTER you've successfully searched and looted from the urn? eh? really?
pinguimmaiden
Do this: Start rooms: Loot gold chest only. Room before max: Check for snakes and loot gold chest. Max room: Check for snake, loot the urns and loot gold chest. That will make you get max xp, i get around 120k/hr with that at 75 thieving :

Chumley
That really isn't the best way at all. By only checking for snakes in the room before max you only gain 1/3 of the available xp for urns in that room. That means that as long at you search 5 or more earns you will get more xp than checking all urns. You should be able to search 75%-100% of urns in the room before max. Also I would advise using a bunyip for healing, no need to carry any food. In addition, use a sceptre to get straight back to the mummy after each game, increases your hourly xp rate even more.
