Nadril
not having patches is a bad idea, especialy if you use the internet a lot. i'd belive registering would cause money, but than again, i'm not entierly sure.

Um...i think registering means confirming your code for your purchase of the OS (Microsoft Windows XP CD). I don't know how your friend got away with it, but it's like Nadril said, patches and updates are important. Your computer will be vulnerable to virus attacks if you don't have the latest updates and patches, so ya. Sup noobs.

Mercifull
You were being spammed by people abusing the Messenger service (NOT MSN or Windows Messenger) there are many ways top fix this... 1. Turn Off Messenger service http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/usin ... pspam.mspx 2. Upgrade to SP2 where it is turned off as Default 3. Install a firewall and block Messenger service from accessing the net, which it shouldn need to anyway. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. LinovUSA
i found other way to stop them, i went to control panel into admi. tools and into component services and i found Messenger Service, which was causing the spam, so i turned it off. Now, its fine.
