My Windows Recently had glitched completely, so i reinstalled windows xp version . Well, ever since i installed it, i have these messages poping up, such [wagon] ALERT, 47 errors found in registry go to this web site (microsoft web site) and run registry scan, im sure i do not have any problems, these are just ad-wares stuff like that by Microsoft,

its actualy not so bad, i just dont get updates and thats it. My friend had same problem but he got rid of it somehow, ill ask him when i see him. Btw what do u mean register? i have to pay money?

not having patches is a bad idea, especialy if you use the internet a lot.

Um...i think registering means confirming your code for your purchase of the OS (Microsoft Windows XP CD). I don't know how your friend got away with it, but it's like Nadril said, patches and updates are important. Your computer will be vulnerable to virus attacks if you don't have the latest updates and patches, so ya.

You were being spammed by people abusing the Messenger service (NOT MSN or Windows Messenger)

 

 

 

there are many ways top fix this...

 

 

 

1. Turn Off Messenger service http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/usin ... pspam.mspx

 

 

 

2. Upgrade to SP2 where it is turned off as Default

 

 

 

3. Install a firewall and block Messenger service from accessing the net, which it shouldn need to anyway.

i found other way to stop them, i went to control panel into admi. tools and into component services and i found Messenger Service, which was causing the spam, so i turned it off. Now, its fine.
