K112
I'm aiming ot get 80 magic for charge at DKs  , except i have no idea where to even start. Money-wise i have about 5million gp? But i'm not lookig to make a significant loss. :) I've been told that Cursing at Pest Control is the cheapest option, although not the fastest, can anyone confirm/deny this? Or even suggest better methods? Thanks for your time. ~Magic :
CastleWars3
Cursing is honestly slow exp. Your options are either to high alch or superheat if you want smithing exp. If you hate to repeditively click and do the same thing over and over like high alching, you could ice burst rock lobsters but this is very costy. :? 99 Fletching - 08/14/08Fire Cape - 3/7/09Quest Cape - 12/29/0999 Defense - 3/17/
K112
Yeah, i'm more interested in cost than speed.
CastleWars3
Ya then you should high alch, you will lose 300-400k at most from the loss of nature runes, otherwise the things you alch such as yew longs or green d'hide bodies, will gain you a little bit more money besides the loss of runes cost. 99 Fletching - 08/14/08Fire Cape - 3/7/09Quest Cape - 12/29/0999 Defense - 3/17/
K112
Whats worth high alching? Yew bows/green bodies?
Georgelemmons
Personally, I'd go with superheating. It is slower xp, as you have to bank, and each spell is 12 xp less than a High Alch. However, you can pretty easily break even with a bit of merchanting the ores and bars, and you get good smithing xp. Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <
CastleWars3
Whats worth high alching? Yew bows/green bodies? I believe yew longs get you more money back than the bodies. Bodies are mainly f2p though. :? 99 Fletching - 08/14/08Fire Cape - 3/7/09Quest Cape - 12/29/0999 Defense - 3/17/
K112
It'll take me 5390 alchs to get 80 mage. If i use a fire staff and buy my nats, im at a loss of 1,293,600gp, or just under 1.3mil. 5390 yew long on the ge will cost me 3,665,200gp, giving me a total loss before alching of 4,958,800gp at an estimate. Now, if i alch 5390 yew longs i get 1811040gp giving me a total loss of 3147760gp. Thats a bit too much, compared to ~125k loss stunning I couldn't do green bodies, as i don't have the cash to lay out. Stunning would take me about 5 days Pest Control and very repetitive? High Alching would be more like 2 days? And even more repetitive.
K112
Superheating is 6609 casts till level 80 mage. I could probably get 6.6k coal from MTK fairly easily. And then buy another 6.6k, setting me back 1,169,793 + 654291 for iron ore = 1824084 + Nature rune costs(1,559,724) = 3,383,808 Selling the steel bars, and i have 4,157,061gp, giving me 773,253gp profit. Not bad then \
K112
Just had a thought: Cursing + Sacred clay armour? double exp = half the casts? Haven't calculated if it's viable yet though.
GibberEsh
You could try fire bolting irons with chaos gauntlets or fire wave. You're not guaranteed to make money but for me, it's less boring than alching.
