Greatsilverwyrm
When I leave my computer for periods of longer than 10 minutes or so, I lock it and turn my monitors off. Recently, when I come back and turn my monitors back on and log in, I have a series of flickering white lines along the bottom of one monitor. They go away after about 5 minutes or so, but they seem to be getting worse (more lines..go away just as fast though). Any ideas?

Mercifull
TFT or CRT? If its a CRT it could simply be static or magnetic interferance. Try and degauss the monitor. Ape
It could also be heat. I left my CRT monitor next to the radiator one night and it went all funny for a few minutes. Ape8191. New sig to come!
Greatsilverwyrm
degauss doesn't work, Matt I just realized that I have my iPod right under that monitor.. but it's right under the other monitor too, and this thing only happens if my monitor has been off for a while and I turn it back on.. Also, now along with the white lines, the screen grows.. so as the lines go away it shrinks back to normal
