Is this a good goal

Featured Replies

I want to get all my f2p stats over 50 before getting members.

Im thinking that prayer, runecrafting, and crafting will be the toughest.

Please let me know if this seems like a good goal, or if you have any tips

Get 40+ only, cause when you get members you can start doin SC for getting tools.

With tools you can get faster + cheaper xp.

I would say anytime is a good time to get membership. I did have most of my f2p levels fairly high before membership. The thing is though, with p2p you have so many more options when it comes to pretty much any of the skills, thus making it easy and more fun. I am not big on mini games, so I don't play them. But they do say that a lot of them such as Stealing Creation are really good for increased experience in skills. Regardless, I think you are gonna find regardless of your levels p2p is definitely worth it.

I would say if you have the money, there is no reason not to get membership now. Plus, the sooner you join up the sooner you will learn about all the different things that are in the p2p parts of Runescape.

You know what? I had that SAME exact goal.

I'd say, if you're ready, just do it. I have an old post that describes this exact thing, but looking back, there is so much that can help you earlier: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=725347

I would instead stockpile some things that will allow you to advance a bunch of levels really early on in some P2P skills. Cut a ton of logs, oaks, willows. Go forage for a bunch of planks (though you really don't need to, I did...probably 100 or so). Start looking over member skill guides and see if you can collect any materials in F2P that will help you get through a bunch of levels quickly.

Some of the first quests you'll want to do will be area access ones...look through to see which ones will open up areas and see if you can get your F2P skills to that level before you join...that way you won't have to wait to do those quests and wait to access more of the game.

Don't go buying up lots of crazy stuff...save that money until you really get a big grasp of what you need to make it...if you need help or have any questions at all, PM me and I'll answer as best as I can. I'm not the best RuneScaper, but as I said, I seemed to have your same ideas about the game right before joining, which was only a couple of months ago and as you can tell from my stats, I made level 50s a goal, too.

I would say make an "all 30 or 40" goal, but 50 is kind of a grind....then when you get to be a member, you'll have SO many new ones to level up that you'll just go mad if that's your big goal. In fact, you can check out my blog (which I started on the cusp of my last level 50) about that! It should be in my sig...

EDIT: Oh, and in member's you can do some repeatable tasks to get free experience...at higher levels, it may not matter that much, but at low levels, stuff like the Tears of Guthix, Penguin Hide & Seek, Falling Stars and the mini-games are BIG. You may find a mini-game you'll like to play, too.
