jetset516
Ok, the pyrelord gives a +3 boost to firemaking according to the guide. Does this mean at level 72 I can summon a pyrelord and light a magic log (which requires lvl 75)? I'm doing Seers Village diary and have avoided firemaking as (to me) it's by far THE most terminally boring, useless skill. Anyways TIA! :

jetset516
Thank you, you've made my day!!! =D> BTW...I can't believe ppl can do this skill to 99. Sure it's supposedly one of the easiest but I think I'd go insane somewhere around lvl 85 or so!
Troacctid
Actually, no, it doesn't work. The pyrelord's boost is invisible, meaning it doesn't let you light higher logs than you could normally light. You'll need to use spicy stew if you want to boost your firemaking without training it the regular way. Also, when I did the diary, you had to use a tinderbox and not a familiar to light the log for it to count for the magic-log-burning task, but that may have changed along with the bug fix for the cooking boost. Not to be off-topic, but what is really the use of an invisible firemaking boost? Can't light higher logs or anything. Yeah, I know. #-o Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP

Yeah, I know. #-o lmfao! this is one of the greatest fails jagex has ever made  almost as bad as karils set effect #-o Hypocrite. You tell others to be nice then attempt to murder people. Nice going, you just failed life.

Yeah, I know. #-o lmfao! this is one of the greatest fails jagex has ever made  almost as bad as karils set effect #-o Well, it's not as if firemaking is useful in the first place, so compared to the entire skill it's not so much of a giant failure as you make it out to be. The whole skill is useless, so it's not as if the boost would be worth it even if it did let you burn better logs. Crap. I bet assist wont work either. :wall: Even if you could assist with firemaking, it wouldn't count for the diary. Assist system can't be used for quests or diaries.
