J272 Posted July 31, 2005 Share Posted July 31, 2005 I say shading is good and once you get around to it, itll be a 1337 sig :wink: Might want to consider making the sword handles smaller tho, easier to grip (trust me, they're prettie heavy irl) specially the one strapped to his back, if you were going for a 2hander look, just extend the handle and make it skinnier... Another suggestion is to use a dark grey for the center portion of the handle, using gold a bit more sparingly, and adding a wrap(white or greyish beige) adds a lot :D My next suggestion would be to add stubble around his mouth area, add one side of his mouth rising higher than the other to create a dark grin :twisted: Also, you might want to consider making his hair stringier, maybe wet-looking even or if not that then have a left to right or right to left look, b/c now its flaring out on either side, making it look a bit odd :? I love this art so far and cant wait till you finish :D Definately your best so far 8) J272 P.S. Also, it would be even cooler if they werent rune, non RS altogether, actually, but instead matching curved blades :D the best advice I give to everyone thats a pixeler (lol, ironically im the least experienced in many of the cases) is to act your scene out, making the positions, holding similar objects, etc, just to get a better feel for it :) J272 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
misterxman Posted July 31, 2005 Share Posted July 31, 2005 Indeed some perspective on the swords he's holding makes it nicer. The sword on his back looks a bit too big even if two handed I think. A nice Bg would be a bunch of sliced up bodies behind him, with a crowd cheering him, such as in a Collesseum or something.
