combat indicator messages + verbose mode

In RuneScape Classic, players received the message "You are under attack!" if an NPC or monster attacks them in melee and "Warning! is shooting at you!" if another player attacks them with ranged or magic. However, RS2 does not have this feature. In RS2, it is generally pretty obvious if you are being attacked, but when you are in a very crowded location, such as the center of Fist of Guthix, you may not realize you are under attack until it is too late.

 

 

 

Therefore, players should be able to choose whether they want the game to display combat indicator messages, which do exactly the same thing as they did in RSC.

 

 

 

There should be another option called verbose mode, which allows the player to see the detail of their fights. An example may look like:

 

 

 

You cast Curse at the lesser demon

 

Lesser demon resists

 

You cast Curse at the lesser demon

 

Lesser demon is cursed

 

You swing at the lesser demon and hit for 23

 

You swing at the lesser demon but miss

 

You swing at the lesser demon and hit for 18

 

Lesser demon dies

 

Dragon 2-h sword special attack!

 

Lesser demon takes 13

 

Skeleton takes 10

 

Skeleton takes 2

 

Skeleton takes 8

 

 

 

There should also be an option for showing the data from your clan members. For example:

 

 

 

You shoot at the Chaos Elemental and hit for 13

 

Dragon dagger special attack! Dragonxblade attacks Chaos Elemental and hits for 22+7

 

You shoot at the Chaos Elemental but fail to damage it

 

Dragon dagger special attack! Dragonxblade attacks Chaos Elemental and hits for 0+9

 

Chaos Elemental poisoned

 

Chaos Elemental attacks you and hits for 28

 

Chaos Elemental attacks X Acanthus X and hits for 24

 

You shoot at the Chaos Elemental and hit for 20

 

Dragon dagger special attack! Dragonxblade attacks Chaos Elemental and hits for 11+13

 

 

 

Of course, "verbose mode" doesn't really have a major purpose, but it would definitely give RS a D&D-like "feel" to it.

If you're in the center in FOG you can still see your hp in the upper rite corner.

Lol I remember "A Black Man is shooting at you!" :lol:

 

 

 

I think that's why it was removed (at least that exact phrase). Nowadays you'll get all sorts of weird stuff (like "Ur Mom is shooting at you" or "A Runaway Mexican", not to be racist or anything but let's be honest people would create accounts just to do that.)

 

 

 

But that aside I love this idea. Support. :thumbup:
