Dazzle Recording Questions

Featured Replies

Well, my birthday is coming up, and one of the things I'm going to be getting is recorder type thing. It's one of those things where you can record what your playing/doing on your video game. (Like how people record glitches and such)

I was wondering, which is the best set to buy, for under $100? I have absolutely no knowledge of this, that's why I was asking here. Other than buying the pakcage, is there anything else I would need to download/buy to record, edit and put videos on youtube?

Sorry if it's the wrong forum, didn't know which one....

Are you talking about one you use to record for consoles?

Well for PC you just need to download/(or maybe buy a legit recording software) such as FRAPS.

You can find it here: http://www.fraps.com/

However, if you want to get a direct capture from a console such as Wii/Xbox360/PS3, you'll need a capture card or a camcorder. You can record your TV (and what shows up on it) by using a camcorder, but you'll need to burn through alot of money buying the cassette tapes to allow the camcorder to record it onto the tape.

The other option is a capture card such as dazzle, which can be found here: http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/u ... ts/Dazzle/

An example of a capture card can be external, like the product called "Dazzle Capture Card" shown above.

Here's a guide I made on how to record properly with FRAPS (I have no idea if any of the information besides the separate HDD's and the tech stuff actually benefits anything):

If you're doing it for PC, which it doesn't sound like it.

Yeah, I'm recording for my Xbox360. I forgot to mention that. I don't want to use a camcorder, but my friend mentioned something called Dazzle. Any info on this Dazzle thing?
