slingshots

just an idea for slingshots in rs i think i have most of the details planned out for it but not all of them anyways here's my first suggestion for rs:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i think ther should be slingshots, mayb u have to do a small lil quest and help sum guy, and then u'll be able to make slingshots, and to make them u take a log of coice, and use knife on it and make a slingshot (normal, willow, yew, etc depoending on log used) then u use knife on a bowstring and it is cut into two smaller pieces, then u can use like leather (cowhide drghide any type) and use the strings with sling, and get a sling strung, then use leather with the strung sling and get a slingshot, then thers rocks in stores, or u cna use a panning tray with water to get them, or they respawn near water, or u can mine rocks off of boulders or larger rocks wuteva. then u can also make pouches to hold stones. use like a hide with a ball of yarn and the better hide u use the more rocks itll hold, like cow holds 20 rocks, green dhide hold 40, blue hold 60, red hold 80, blk hold 100, sumtin like that or tehy can just b stackable

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

idk bout fletching lvls to make them or anything like that

hrm, its a thought, i dont think its really nescessary but i'll make some suggestions on it anyway

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i don't see the need for pouches, just make it stackable and go in the ammo slot like arrows, you don't need quivers for them

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

the rest is very feasable, the fletching levels for them should probably be their counterpart shortbow, or mabye 5 levels below that

ya said that they could just b stackable, only added pouch becuz u dont see any runnin round wit a pile of rox in the arms, and thnx for the fletchin lvls, it would prob b round shortbow lvl, just thought it would be sumtin new not the next biggest pkin wep in the world :?

Sounds fine to me, it'd be a nice change from the bows and crossbows. Slinging rocks at monsters sounds like fun :)

I'm glad you understand that the rocks must go in your inventory/be wielded, btw. I posted for about a month on an idea about "throwing rocks." They wanted it to be a ranging option, but the rocks would never go in your inventory. No, you can't just click and throw! :)

Maybe to keep it in line with Runescape's general theme, take the technology level down a notch and make them slings rather than slingshots.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For those who are utterly ignorant, a sling launches pebbles or round bullets by being whirled then released.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You could make slings using only any type of non-hardened leather, a needle and thread. You get pebbles practically anywhere where there is a fair density of rocks, and they're essentially free. For higher-quality ammunition, you have to either purchase bullets or cast them in a mould by melting down metal bars.
