King Black Dragon Solo

Is it possible to solo range the king black dragon without it coming into combat or not?

yes, it won't melle you, but it sure as hell will blow the crap out of you with its breaths. But you should be fine, 1-2 kills a solo trips. Do it for fun though, you will fail hard at making cash this way.

Yeh not really expecting to make cash i just got bored this evening and haven't been there since rsc so kicks and giggles ftw :) and was wondering if range was possible or not.

I would protect from mage, and use eagle eye and the protect item prayer. why? you might use like 4 prayer potions a kill and a invo full of sharks but that atleast gives you a 99.99% chance of survival (0.01% chance of death due to lag).

 

 

 

Your invo should be along the lines of:

 

 

 

Black dhide top and bottom

 

Highest rfd gloves>those [bleep]y vambs

 

Glory/any amulet

 

ROL(RING OF LIFE)

 

rune c'bow

 

dfire shield

 

snakeskin boots

 

acumilator

 

any helmet that you think would either look cool or give decent range boost (the ranger helm from freminik area is a good idea)

 

 

 

Use ruby (e) bolts until he's half hp and if you want to not use all your sharks use diamond (e) for the rest of the kills if not emerald (E) would have to do.

 

 

 

invo should be 4 prayer pots, 1 super antipoison, 1 antifire potion, 2 ranging potions, 1 one-click teleport, and the rest sharks (if your taking a beast of burdon, fill it with sharks too.

 

 

 

One thing, if you think your going to die, don't hesitate...teleport, restock and go back for the kill. its for fun, not money so just have fun and don't die.

 

 

 

By the way i'd suggest duoing or even trioing if you havnt gone to kbd since rsc...just a suggetion (a goo done too ;) )

i went there and killed the beast as it stood there before me \

 

 

 

even tho i did only kill it once i still expected it to be harder somehow i would have gotten 2 kills probably if id remembered to use my anti fire pot at the start -.- but still its a fun thing to kill. Now for me to work on somthing to kill for profit :)

:lol: glad you enjoyed it, try killing green dragons for profit, and if their too boring try blue dragons.

I've heard it's better to pray melee and stand in melee range than to pray mage. Not sure if that's true but if the KBD uses melee a lot it'd be better.

This may sound asinine, but pray melee protection, and get as close as you can. Wheras mage pro helps prevent damage, about 1/3-1/2 of the KBD's attacks will now be melee, and your prayer with protect from all melee attacks, so less damage. I get around 6-7 kills a solo trip. I use void range with DFS and a bunyip or bunyip/war tort or bird. Use ruby (e) untill you get one or two high hits on him or he is at about half health. Then switch to Diamond (e). You should wear something like black d'hide top and bottom, blessed coif/helm of neit, glory or fury, ROL, Rune x bow, and snakeskin boots. Pray eagle eye, protect from melee, and protect one item. In invintory bring a ranging pot, maybe a super defense pot (I do), 1-2 prayer pots, a super anti poision, and an antifire pot. The rest should be sharks and your diamond (e) bolts. DO NOT FORGET THE ANTIFIRE SHIELD!
