This may seem really stupid, seeing as how I make all of my money off of the Exchange, but whatever:

Sometimes I'll buy something (Like a bunch of Law Runes) for like, 200K. But when I pick up my order, I'll have anywhere from 5K-10K in the Collection Box. Why does this happen?

When buying armour, clothing, I've noticed little abbreviations at the end of the name like: Rune Armour Set(t) or Mage Robes(g). I've even seen O's at the end of some of the Combat Robes. What do these mean?

I know, I sound really dumb because this is probably common knowledge, but oh well.

Thanks!

It's hardly common knowledge, took me months to notice these abreviations and another week to realise that rune(l) meant full rune with legs instead of skirt.

Anyway, when you put up an offer to buy something you put how much you're willing to pay, then the automated system searches and find the LOWEST seller. If your offer was more than the one selling it, you get a little extra coin back from your purchase.

Ex: Player A wants to buy 1k feathers so I offer 6k for 1k feathers

Player B wants to sell 1k feathers and offers to sellf or 5k.

The system then finds player B's offer, pays him and gives player A 1k coins back as the items were exchanged, but not all the money was needed.

(t) = trim

(g) = gold trim

(l) = legs

(sk) = skirt

I've never seen (o) though.

(0) is for when an item has no charge.

Items such as fist of guthix rewards can only be traded at (0) charge and then you have to play the minigame to recharge for a smaller fee.

Oh, that makes sense~

Thanks!

I have the 0's figured out, Combat Robes are won from FoG, and when their charge runs out a 0 appears after their name.

One more question:

Gold Trimmed is self-explanatory, but what's the difference between regular armour and Trimmed Armour?

Only the fancy colouring, the stats are exactly the same.

Same goes for gold, guthix, sara, zammy, d hides etc.

Trimmed has a secondary colour (not gold) around the edges.

For example rune armour (t) has a lighter blue trim.

The stats don't change though, just the style.

Naw dood, the flasy gold trim relflects sunlight and blinds dragons right in thier eye! Better than plus stats IMO

( SEEN IT)

But in truth, the GE is great, some items just don't make sense, for instance fire runes won't go below 9gold low... Why?

I want to sell fire runes for 5 gold points, and there would be tons of buyers, BUT YOU CANT!
