If you would like opinions, it would be awesome if we had something to give you an opinion on. There are literally dozens of Dell comps that can do what you're asking. Find a few of em that you like, and post a link for opinions. A price range would also be great.

Don't get a Dell. Period.

Go to CompUSA and ask them if you should get a Dell. They will laugh very hard. I saw it happen last week to a customer. :?

^ So what? A bunch of nerds laugh at Dell, so you won't get it? What exactly makes Dell so bad? Crappy computers? As far as I know, Dell makes great computers for anyone who does not wish to build their own. They have decent prices, and great cs. I have 1 Dell comp atm, and used to own a Dell DJ. No complaints about Dell coming from me.

That's like asking Bush if I should vote Democrat. Not really a good argument. I'm with BMW - there's nothing inherently wrong with Dell computers if you can't afford to look for all the components yourself (and put it together yourself). They have decent CS and a warranty, which you might not get (not at all on the total system, but probably some on specific parts) / void if you put everything together yourself. Admittedly, the prices of Dell are a bit higher than buying everything separately and building your own box, maybe even a bit higher than going to a local store like compUSA. However, their service and reputation makes up for that - when you buy a Dell, you also buy (somewhat) the guarantee that stuff will Just Work .

As standard, a 90 day warranty is pathetic. You need to pay extra for even a year, which most components come with seperately.

I admit 100% that DELL make an excellent PC, but when it's out of warranty and it breaks. Say buh bye to your hard earned cash. DELL make DELL components for DELL computers... Just about everything, even their printers are custom. You need a printer cartridge, send away for a new one. :?

If you know what you're doing get the components and build a pc, or get someone else to build it for you. If you don't know or care about the components, get a DELL.

Notoriously Trollish.

Hi Spark_FX,

I think that any Dell PC will be capable of what you are looking for. I was running adobe Photoshop, several forums and RuneScape at the same time on a Dell 4700c (cheaper model) with no problems at all. As for Dell, I cant recommend anything else. They are a great company, and have amazing customer service. If a part of your PC breaks, even after the warranty has expired, they will send you a new part identicle overnight. If you have any problems with setting up your Dell or getting it to run, theyre technicians will help soret out your problems.

I would get a Dell 4700, that is a descent computer for a great price. If money isnt an issue, go for the XPS gen 4, which has superior graphics card and processor speed/RAM.

The only other company I would recommend is Cyber Power Systems, go to http://www.syberpowerpc.com for more info.

You do know CompUSA is a computer DUMP. They get all the broken appliances that were "fixed" by the company...CompUSA sucks. I went to Circut City, found a nice comp...17" flat panel, its pentium 4 or D, one of em
