brainymidget
Well, a couple weeks ago, I noticed a little problem I was having. I couldn't log in to Tip.it forums. I went to log in, I typed in my password, I hit log in, and it brought me to the page to redirect. As soon as I clicked Return to Board index, it logged me right back out. It did this every single time, there was no way to get around it. Finally, I realized the problem was with the cookies that forum.tip.it put onto my computer. I went to Tools > Options > Privacy and clicked Show cookies. I went and deleted the cookies from forum.tip.it and this made it work. I was able to log on fine, no more problems. But then the next day, I reopened Firefox and again, I had the same problem. I have to delete the cookies off here every time I open Firefox. I then tried something else, deleting all cookies. I did this, I had to reset some options on some things, mainly logging me in automatically for other forums I used but just like when I deleted the forum.tip.it cookies, the next time I reopened Firefox, the problem was back. Every single cookie I had deleted had returned, even ones for sites that I hadn't been to in months. So basically, I need help with how I can delete my cookies without them returning the next time I reopen Firefox.

chazzycaz
How are you attempting to clear your cookies? Via an option in Firefox or on the OS (Windows?) If it is windows, try clearing them via the disk cleanup option, and deleting all Temporary Internet Files. (Right click the disk drive and properties) I use Advanced Systemcare to clean out all my files and fix registry issues, if all else fails that might be able to help you. Hope I helped. I had been doing it by the option in Firefox, but right now I am running Disk Cleanup as well as Ad-Aware, so we'll see if that does anything. Sbrideau
A CCleaner cleanup shouldn't do any trouble here.
brainymidget
Well, I just tried getting on SkillnChill forums and it has the same problem, which made me think that the problem was with PhpBB. I then checked them both and I noticed they had the same problem, there were a lot of duplicate cookies. I tried deleting the duplicates but it still didn't work, so I'm not entirely sure what's wrong, I'll experiment a little more and see what I find.
