February 23, 200917 yr Yes, and you dont have to use the mage armour. All the armours gives 2x combat exp, whatever the skills. So you can use full melee sc (or just helm w.e) and get double mage or range exp. I just used a melee helm up using stun, so i know for a fact. Want to be my friend?
