This was taken last year, heh. Only bothered to edit and upload it now.

The first one is awesome, though it looks like it could do with a little bit of straightening up. It seems to be tilted to the right slightly.

The second one just isn't terribly interesting IMO. It could work if the composition and colours were more interesting, but at the moment it's just one big straw of grass on a blurry background, which is a bit boring.

It's straightened up to match the horizon with the sea level.

Also, I find it weird how the images I prefer are always the ones which are most disliked, heh. Between these two, I prefer the grass.

I really love the first one!

Doesn't play runescapes anymore

The gold coast is cool just because of all that is going on (really, I'm jealous. I'd love to have gone there) but artistically speaking it isn't anything special. The blade of glass is just boring and out of focus.

I think that the biggest problem here is really just the quality of your camera. It's totally not your fault, but both of the pictures would have been like 20x better with a higher quality camera. So even though the first picture isn't exactly artistic like Nadril said, and the subject in the second picture isn't very interesting, I think that the picture quality is what hurts them the most. More in the second picture than the first, but it is still very evident in the first picture too. But also like Nadril said, I think the first picture is really cool because of everything that's going on and how far back you can look, if that makes sense. It seems like something that would be in a brochure for a vacation spot :P

Heh, well, it's really hard to get a non-blurry shot of something that's smaller than your pinky when it's so close to the camera lens.

As for camera quality, yeah, a better camera would be better, but I just can't afford one. Photoshop helped a ton, though.
