March 6, 200917 yr Is the Shooting Star mini-game a viable way of training (versus Iron Kyatt training)? Or is it just something to take a break? [hide=Old Question]If I were to mine iron using the kyatt method, would it be worth it to go for the SC pickaxes, or not?[/hide] ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
March 6, 200917 yr Id Suggest u get Sc picks for the mini game Star find Then It would be worth Your time other wise no
March 6, 200917 yr Seems like a waste if you haven't already 80'd crafting, smithing, and construction. I actually am planning to get a nice stockpile for when I would rather kill myself then mine another ore, simply with the fact that im getting 2x the experience. I personally find the game amazing (most high levels do) and have fun playing.
March 6, 200917 yr Author Ok, thanks for the advice guys! Versus starting a new thread, I just edited this one with a new question. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
March 6, 200917 yr Since i guess i gave u the idea I explain it The star find mini game is supposed to distract u from playing runescape reguerly ironic huh cuz of the name anyways IF u get Sc pickaxe + the xp u get for mining a star + (being the first one to identify it) = very rewarding Seeing as it can have anywhere form 1-9 layers it is a good way for this to happen You can however only cash in once a day at 200 stardust but that doesnt mean u can stop mining the star u just wont get star dust This is really up to u if u dont mind staying in a place for a while and mining same rocks over and over then stick to reguler iron mining with kyatt If u want some diversion then do star find Optionally u can stay in the clan chat Star find and when u see stars dropping u can take a break and run to them with sc pickaxe mine and then cont reguler mining till next storm

March 6, 200917 yr Well, star mining isn't better than mining granite or using a kyatt but it's a bit of nice mining exp everyday. If you're gonna use the clay pickaxes, bring more than 1 or it might die on you in the desert/wildy (happened to me lol). You also have to factor in the time taken to get them though so it might be better to just use a rune pickaxe. About what kingmickez said, I would not join star hunting clans and leech since it is generally frowned upon. It's best to help spot or solo them yourself. I find it better to solo since I don't need to depend on people. Some tips if you do though: You'll need at least a teak telescope, pick landing sites that aren't popular and have 5+ locations, and choose a quieter world. If you haven't already, check out this amazing star guide: viewtopic.php?f=103&t=773941 wow, long post.
