March 9, 200917 yr So I'm going for 99 hunter, and I was planning on using the red chin's (around 45,000 of them) to try and get 99 range. I was planning to train on skeletons in Ape Atoll Dungeon. Is it doable? Or do you think I would need more chins?
March 9, 200917 yr I think you would need a better range level, or else its just anti-cost effective. Work up to about 65-70. 70 is best.
March 9, 200917 yr Get at least 85 before you use the Red chins, else it would be waste of them. Drops: Misc: Abyssal Whip x28 , Dark Bow x5, Beserker Ring x3, Warrior ring x1 Dragon: Dragon Platelegs x2 , Dragon Plateskirt x2, Dragon Boots x38, Dragon Med Helm x4, Shield left half x3 Godwars: Godsword shard x13, Bandos Hilt x3, Bandos Chestplate x6, Bandos Tassets x4, Bandos Boots x5, Saradomin Sword x1, Zamorakian Spear x1,. March 9, 200917 yr Alright. Thanks. Best suggestions from my level to 85? :D Firstly, read this guide - it's really good :D viewtopic.php?f=180&t=785110 Secondly, Chenjs2 says... Red chinchompas only give about 27% more xp than greys, although they cost almost 2 times as much So you might want to take that into consideration when you start chinning, it might be better to sell the reds and buy greys? And thirdly, if you were going to use grey chins to 99 - i reccommend doing it from 75 upwards, otherwise it is not cost effecient. On to your original question, i think it might be 'do-able' but not worthwile. As stated above getting a higher ranged level before you start chinning is a good idea. Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig!

I think his orignal question was whether 45K chins would be enough to get 99 ranged. I doubt it, though... Anyone has any information on this? To be fair, i did contribute towards the original question. Shall i elaborate? At level 99, I get about 205 xp per grey as opposed to 260 xp per red From 84->90 I got about 140 xp each red chin From what research i've done, you could get 99 range with 45,000 red chins from levels 80 - 85. Edit: Just found this on RSOF range guide From 85-99 Ranged, you'd use about 50k-55k Red Chins Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig!
