IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d like to point you towards a press release from Sabertooth Games. IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m really glad I can finally tell you guys about this project since we've been working on it for months now. As you can see from the release Penny Arcade is about to be a CCG. We had a chance to sit down and play an early version of the game recently and I can assure you this is going to be cool. I canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t share a lot of the details with you just yet but the game stays very true to the comic and itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s full of inside jokes and characters you guys will really appreciate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d also like to point out that while itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s true that I am doing the illustrations for all the cards, I am getting some help. Take a look at the cards in the press release and youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll see some spectacular colors done by Hawk from Apple Geeks. IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve been a fan of his colors for a long time and I was really glad he accepted my offer to help me with this huge project.

As far as I know, this is the first time someone has produced a collectible card game (think Magic: the Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh) based on a webcomic. It's nice that the art of the cards is produced by the illustrator of the comic, but somehow I doubt if it'll be a real succes, because outside of fans of the comic it really doesn't seem to appeal to a larger market. Still, it'll be a nice thing to have for the real fans I suppose.
