F2P Fishing Help, Quicker + Cheaper

Its just a little pointer really

 

In F2P the main fishing spot is Musa Point (Karamaja) on the little pier, this is prime location for lobsters + swordfishers. It costs 30gp to get there, and 30gp to get back?

 

Well when i first started fishing there i ran all the way to falador to bank

 

Big Mistake No.1 !

 

Draynor is MUCH closer.

 

So if you didn't know that, then you fail

 

That shaves so much time off your journey, enabling you to be more efficient, and earn more money.

 

(Efficiency = Amount Produced/ Hour)

 

 

 

But

 

Earlier today i had an idea involving the lumbridge home teleport.

 

What if, every other trip, you home teled and ran to draynor?

 

Would it really make much of a difference with only a 30gp gain?

 

Well i think it would!

 

 

 

Here are the 2 routes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Red route is the one commonly taken, which is fine, but costs an extra 30gp, and by my tests, an extra 4 seconds:geek:

 

The green route is my proposed route:

 

Home tele from the docks, Run to draynor and bank

Heres the final line:

 

If you can catch an inventory in 30 minutes or more, then you do it every time, saving you 30gp, per 26 fish

 

Catching 260 fish = 300gp and 40 seconds

 

Catching 2600 fish = 3K and 400 seconds

 

And for those who are extreme fishers

 

Catching 10,000 Fish =Approx, 11k and 1100 seconds

 

 

 

For those who do trips in less than 30 minutes, alot of you, just divide the money saved, by the amount of trips you can do in 30 minutes.

 

 

 

Tbh, i know its not much, but for those F2Pers out there struggling to make ends meet, here is a little tip which can save you a fair amount over a lot of trips

Actually, the more effective way would be to get the Lumbridge Ring 3 to use to tele to the Cabbage patch. This is much faster than home teleing.

 

 

 

Also, in the long run, the 30 gp saved is not worth it for the efficiency of this.

[Edit]: Also, if someone is taking 30 min per inventory, they should really not be fishing lobsters/swordfish, that is extremely ineffective for earning money. Picking up respawns of items are even faster than that.

As im a skiller with only the ring (1) because many of the medium taks require combat, however money saved isnt worth the effiency?

[Edit] Maybe they're training? And its not just 30 mins for the inventory, its the process of getting them, cooking them if you choose to do so, and the running to the bank and to the docks

I have a skiller too that can't tele, I use Air altar tablets then go to Falador. Still much faster than home teleing.

 

 

 

If they are training, they really shouldn't be training on swordies/lobsters, that's inefficient xp. The time the save from fishing trout/salmon, results in more money from having a higher level in fishing, and fishing swordies/lobsters at a much faster rate.

 

 

 

Plus, to get a decent level to fish lobsters at doesn't take that long...and fishing an inventory of lobsters in <5 min in comparison to one per 30 min is a huge difference.

Wouldn't it just be easier and much faster to fly fish?

 

I went from 1 > 80something with lobsters on one of my old accounts >_>

 

It was not fun.
