If you were to train attack/defense I would suggest a whip+defender any day. Now if you kill waterfiends it's also good to use. As for the spec, you could pay 6m more for it, or use a whip and switch to a DDS for its spec. Again i only think the SS is good for str training and waterfiends. In fact im using a SS at this moment as I'm getting my Str up.
