March 28, 200917 yr yes, same speed as whip also bit stronger The only difference is SS has higher crush bonus and +2 prayer that the whip doesn't, but if you think about it whip would be better since you can use a Rune Defender, or any other shield. If you were to train attack/defense I would suggest a whip+defender any day. As for the spec, you could pay 6m more for it, or use a whip and switch to a DDS for its spec. Again i only think the SS is good for str training and waterfiends. In fact im using a SS at this moment as I'm getting my Str up.
