Falcon891 Posted August 12, 2005 Share Posted August 12, 2005 Well I've been tinkering with my zone alarm firewall (EZ Security) for a while to allow it to let me into mIRC chats with clan and stuff even through swiftswitch however the msg " [ Blocked by EZ Security ] " comes up whenever I try connecting to a room. If anyone has Zone Alarm can you please walk me through the steps to letting me access irc chats? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks :). Falcon891 Posted August 12, 2005 Author Share Posted August 12, 2005 mm ok but ss has been legalized by jagex and approved :evil: but thats not my question, even irc is blocked probably because of the port it requres access to......help there? and EZ Security requires Zone Alarm to be completely taken off the computer to be installed because its literally the same thing different name, same windows, same looks, same features, even said "please uninstall all previous versions of Zone Alarm before continuing installation". So im guessing its practically the same thing but thats besides the point. Firewalls + Irc is the topic at hand, why is it blocking it and how do i get past that if theres a option on zonealarm / EZ Security (remember exactly the same, ive checked) <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> AND i just realized the "Sorry its illegal" was "swiftswitch" someone freakin edited my post......NO IT IS NOT ILLEGAL I KNOW MODS THAT USE IT AND IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED SO WAKE UP. ffs dont mess with my post and just get an answer out please, thats what the question was not whats illegal and whats not, especially since it has been approved by jagex. THE RULES EXPLICITLY STATE NO THIRD PARTY CLIENTS AND THE RULES ARE ECHOED HERE. ANYONE THAT SAYS SS IS LEGAL IS LIEING. AND NO1 EDITED YOUR POST, THERE IS A CENSOR IN PLACE TO STOP PEOPLE LINKING TO SS SITES. Maybe the capitals will get the message accross better. You will not get an answer about your quesy here. I myself have done extensive reaserch before getting in including asking many mods in game, TS, irc chats, etc. now maybe caps will get this across SWIFTSW*TCH IS NOT ILLEGAL OK? blam *smack* get it through your think head, it was illegal at first then strider worked out things with jagex to the point that they APPROVED IT (including ads and many other features) :wink: :lol: now before you come back on i say go ask a mod ok? cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

"no third party clients" SS is a third party client and therefor illegal. And even if it was you wanting to know information about it on these forums is a bannable offence.
