Kidd_Varrow
In the guide for The Great Orb Project, it says that the runecrafter robes that can be bought with the tokens earned from the minigame give a +8 boost to runecrafting, and that this boost lets you craft more runes per essence than you would without the boost during the minigame. I just tried crafting airs during a game of GOP, and I only got 6 air runes per essence (requires level 55 runecrafting) instead of the 7 which I would have gotten with a +8 (level 68, 7 airs per essence requires level 66). Obviously, something is wrong with this information. I'm thinking that the robes do not affect multiple runes per essence at all, but I can't confirm this yet. EDIT: I just tested it again with 63 runecrafting as my base, but it still gave me 6x airs. This confirms that the runecrafter robes do not let you craft more runes per essence than you normally would.
brainymidget
Were you wearing full runecrafting robes? I'm pretty sure you only get the bonus if you aer wearing the full robes. That's hat, top, bottom, and gloves.
Jimmyw3000
It's not that. It's just the bonus is "invisible" and only affects how much you can push/pull the orbs. If you look on your level screen, your rc remains at full/full not full+8/full.

brainymidget
Just checked. As Jimmy said, it only offers the bonus during GOP. From the Knowledge base. Runecrafter Robes Aside from looking the part and indicating your allegiance to one scientific theory or another (or a more scientifically-appropriate neutral stance), runecrafter robes provide a bonus to your Runecrafting level for moving orbs about while you are playing The Great Orb Project. Because you cannot wear it during the minigame, the hat has no such bonus. * Runecrafter gloves provide a +2 bonus. * Runecrafter robes provide a +3 bonus. * Runecrafter skirts provide a +3 bonus. You're missing my point. My contention is that the Tip.It guide for the Great Orb Project says this: The robes cannot help you use pouches (members) you could not ordinarily use, and have absolutely no effect outside the minigame, though within the game you gain the ability to craft extra runes as if you had the boosted level. I demonstrated that the robes do not give you the ability to craft extra runes as if you had the boosted level, which means the Tip.It guide is wrong. brainymidget
Oh I see what you mean. I haven't personally played GOP in a rather long time, but just comparing Jagex' with Tip.it, it looks like we might have it slightly wrong.
