April 4, 200917 yr I'm not sure I'll find much help here, but I figured I'd give it a try: I listen to a lot of Elliott Brood (which, for those of you who have never listed to them, is a very, very good band. I highly their music out), but have not ventured further than them into the genre of alt-country. I'm wondering if any more initiated TIFers could recommend some good artists from the genre, preferably in the same vein as Elliott Brood. April 4, 200917 yr I saw Elliott Brood a few months ago. Great group indeed. I listen to some things that could be considered alternative country, not much of the louder stuff though. April 6, 200917 yr darn good stuff...thanks! I've really been into alt-country and cow punk bands recently. I'd have to say my favorite is Lucero, but here's some of the others I listen to: Drag the River, Mike Ness, Two Cow Garage, Drive-by Truckers, Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, Wilco, Magnolia Electric Co., Slobberbone, The Haints, Old '97s, Doublewide, Armchair Martian.
