MoodJuice
I'm not sure I'll find much help here, but I figured I'd give it a try: I listen to a lot of Elliott Brood (which, for those of you who have never listed to them, is a very, very good band. I highly their music out), but have not ventured further than them into the genre of alt-country. I'm wondering if any more initiated TIFers could recommend some good artists from the genre, preferably in the same vein as Elliott Brood. How2PK
I saw Elliott Brood a few months ago. Great group indeed. I listen to some things that could be considered alternative country, not much of the louder stuff though. But you could try Okkervil River. pfilc23
darn good stuff...thanks! I've really been into alt-country and cow punk bands recently. I'd have to say my favorite is Lucero, but here's some of the others I listen to: Drag the River, Mike Ness, Two Cow Garage, Drive-by Truckers, Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, Wilco, Magnolia Electric Co., Slobberbone, The Haints, Old '97s, Doublewide, Armchair Martian.
