April 6, 200917 yr Okay, so I was streaming the MLG Meadowlands competition, and it required a 1.5 mb/s internet connection for flawless viewing... They recommended this site for testing your speed. Well I was quite shocked at this summary I received... Why is my internet running at such a low level, compared to other users on my isp? Why does it say West Virginia average when I live in Texas? Why is my internet only slightly faster than the average African connection? ~Knotch P.S. The African comment isn't me being racist, the average according to the aforementioned site is 1.03 mb/s. April 6, 200917 yr Depends on what speed you've paid for. Just because the avarage is higher than yours doesn't mean you have the same speed as others but getting lower speed still. And speedtest is a bit weird, it's off with 2 on download and .5 on upload for me. April 6, 200917 yr My download speeds are like that for me too, where the average ISP speed for my state is noticeably higher than my own. I have the same question. Just curious, what does it say for upload speeds? Mine's above the average ISP for the state. :?
