Brownknight
I'm trying to run call of duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC version) on my computer I run on windows vista. I try to run the game and i get an error... "Video card or driver doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data" :( Screenshot: Here is my video card: What is happening here? I have heard that i need a video card, i heard i don't have a video card and that i have some integrated graphics card... What kind of card should I get? http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/callo ... _info.html says min. reqs. to run Call of Duty 4 System: 2.4 GHz Duo Core or faster or equivalent RAM: 1024 MB Hard Drive Space: 8000 MB Other: GeForce 7800 / Ati Radeon X1800 or better Will my computer be able to run the game if the system has a: Intel Pentium® Dual CPU E220 @ 2.20 GHz? (I have two of them) What kind of card should I get? How much will it cost? I'm looking for a good price (of course) i won't really run any other games. So I might just get the minimum required. I'm not sure what one to get because I have no experience with these things. (are all windows video cards compatible with windows computers? because i don't want to buy, for example, an ATI Radeon X1800 card and find out it isn't compatible with my computer. And, if anyone else has this game, how much would be a good deal for this game? :) I have seen $37.99 someplace. Thanks for your help!
Nadril
Your video card does not meet the minimum requirements. Also you don't have two CPU's, you just have a dual core CPU. We need to know what power supply you have. Either: A. Tell us what brand/model your computer is B. Open up the case and look at the power supply to see how many watts it is, and also its voltage and rails. I would suggest A. You should also tell us your budget for a new video card, and keep in mind that if you have no knowledge of computer hardware you may want someone to install it for you. Depending on your PSU you may need to get a new one as well, usually prebuilt machines run with a 250-300W PSU max.
Jernlov
I thought it was a laptop at first, but then I saw you have an E2220 or whatever. Basically what Nadril said. You won't get any help if you don't post specs. Steam | Soup | Last.fm

As for the price...my mom said whatever I want which basically means get one that is not expensive. I'd say $90-$125? I'd also have to get the COD4 game to which is around $37.99 but my friend did say he can find a download for me  . thanks for your help so far. OldJoe
You have a pci-e slot and a 250w psu. You can't put in a gaming card (i wouldn't even trust a 4670 even tho it draws under 75w), so a new psu is in order. Here is my advice on another thread: Rosewill 400w psu - 34$ MSI 4830 92$ (72 after rebate) Gigabyte 4670 80$ (50 after rebate) Gigabyte 9600gso 80$ - passive cooling (50 after rebate) There is also an EVGA 9600gso with a fan which is 10$ more after rebate. I got a 4670, i am still surprised on how good fps it can turn out for it's low sum of money. 9600gso and 4670 performs about the same. 4830 performs similar to 9800gt, if you got for that card, make sure you can fit it in your case (24cm long). So if you don't wanna blow your budget: ze psu+9600gso/4670(toss a coin)=83$. So you have money left over for a computer store to fix it for you. You can't go any cheaper really... Sure you could find a 9500GT for 10$ less, but it performs so much worse for just 10 bucks less. Now i'm gonna have lunch, adios. J'adore aussi le sexe et les snuff moviesJe trouve que ce sont des purs moments de vieJe ne me reconnais plus dans les gensJe suis juste un cas désespérantEt comme personne ne viendra me réclamerJe terminerai comme un objet retrouvé
