Should I sell bgs for a dfs or full bandos or keep it?

Featured Replies

Lately, I've been thinking, and I need some help.

I has 83 atk

95 str

80 def

In soul wars, I see tons of people with full bandos, and it's extremely hard to hit them( Thats what I think, don't say there are better armor cause I know)

Dragonfire shield looks attractive...very. But I will lose my godsword if i buy it, and I can probably get my own visage if I no life at dragons for 2 months.

I'm aiming for 99 str, so I like the bgs. But I'm thinking about the other 2 options, as I can use full bandos with rune def and d scimmy to train, or use full torags with dfs to train.

Anyone want to help me out? Thanks

What do you usually do? Slayer or Soul Wars? Or conventional training (like Zombie Monkeys)? If Soul Wars, keep the BGS.

Bandos is weak armor. Barrows has higher defense. It's only good for the attack and str bonuses, and those aren't exactly worth the higher sticker price. Maybe in Slayer, but then you'd usually be better off with Prossy and praying.

So a no on the bandos. Yes to the DFS if you do slayer or conventional training. Keep the GS for SW.

In soul wars, I see tons of people with full bandos, and it's extremely hard to hit them

Soul wars is a very bad way to judge armor. Those "hard to hit" bandos wearers probably also have 99 def, and may be praying piety at the same time (I know that I do).

(I know that you don't want to hear it, but Barrows armor is the way to go. No question about it.)

I can probably get my own visage if I no life at dragons for 2 months.

Don't count on it. I killed nearly 10K Black dragons, and no visage. The visage is extremely rare.

None of the above. Whip + rune defender is better than a bgs or a dfs and barrows is better than bandos. For strength training use a saradomin sword. If you want to speed up training or make it cheaper invest in prayer and summoning.

Like it was said above, Bandos is more useful on Monsters, than against Players.

Barrows has higher melee defensive stats than Bandos by a considerable amount. However Bandos has 0 repair costs. This makes Bandos more useful to slayers who are conserving money because they engaged in combat for long periods of time, and don't really need the supped-up defensive bonuses of barrows.

So basically:

If you are into monster training, you are better off with a Whip and Defender/DFS with Bandos.

If you are training your combat through Soul Wars, I would keep the BGS and wear barrows armor.
