What if you had not done...?

Okay, my first topic in Off-topic, so... I don't really know what your standards of a topic are but yeah, whatever.

Now about 2 weeks ago, I visited my outrageously small school library, for about 25 minutes. I read a book, then the bell rings suddenly. Forced to run down, but wait, I still had the book with me. So I chuck it on a nearby table with a guy who was 3 years my senior, and he had body hair already. I'm afraid of big and hairy people  . He was studying... so he didn't really care. Or so I thought.

Anyways, I walk down the stairs, and I hear a big "What the hell?". The book actually flew next to him and fell off the table (I can't be a grenadier). I move back up the stairs. That guy is a real bookworm. He stares at me, and says "Did you do this?" and points at the book on the floor. I pick it up without saying anything, and put it on the shelf, just in case that guy decided to tear me apart.

Now, I could have had 2 options at the start of the roaring of that guy.

1. I could have tried to pretend nothing happened.

2. I could get overrun with guilt and put the book back.

Now, it was pretty obvious by the story what I picked, but sometimes I look back and wonder what would have happened if I picked one. People 3 years older than me are generally smarter. I don't think I could have gotten away with it.

Now look back on any recent events that you have gotten away with. I'm probably sure you would have at least 2 decisions to make, now instead of the typical "I should have done this", what do you think would have happened if you did not act on the decision that you have picked to survive and instead picked the other?

[hide=]It doesn't seem quite different from every other topic here, but hey, if it breaks the rules, it'll be locked. If it's not interesting, then it'll just fall to the last few pages.[/hide]

Mods are free to edit or lock this if they deem it necessary. Sorry, it's just a habit I've developed. Post away! ::'

I have no problem with speaking speeches, but it hate writing them, last year, end of term 3 I think, I had a speech due, this was in the times of not doing homework, so I didn't do it. The week before, my teacher said you'd be in big trouble if you didn't do it. So, there I was, on the morning of the day my speech was due, not done. I had this epic fail of an idea of what to do, so I did it. :wall: Stupidity, as soon as I finished this epic fail speech. (pick a topic to do with the 19th century England and write a speech, I chose things not in thatcentury, a bull crap list of it, and did it) I didn't have to look at my teacher, I knew what she was thinking. I got detention and I thought that would lead to something worse. It (thank freaking god) didn't, I thought I was done for.

In this story, I had three choices:

1. Work with my knowledge and write a speech before school that meant something.

2. My epic fail, as explained above.

3. Not do it.

I chose two, because I thought i'd get in more trouble if I didn't do one, and I didn't trust my knowledge.

I felt like crap for the next few days, wondering how far my punishment would go, It didn't go any further and I was ok, but I did smash my head against the wall a few times, trying to knock some sense into it. I got 6/20 for my fail, an extremely good for that epic fail, good thing I had a reasonable teacher.
