April 30, 200917 yr I am very happy that so many people were supportive of me getting 99 strength. I would like to share how I got 99 strength in the first place, and the methods of doing so. I want other people to feel how I feel right now \ _____________________________________________________________________________________ Contents: 1.What stats should I use, and what level attack/defense do I need to be successful? 1a. What if I'm a pure? 2.What do I train on for good experience? 3.How long will it take to get 99 strength? 4.What weapons should I use to train strength? 5.What kind of skills should I train with strength?(As in during your goal to 99, you also use strength to raise other skills) 6.Why should I get 99 strength? 7.Questions? 8.Faq. __________________________________________________________________________________ #1 Well, generally, about the stats. I found it more comfortable to train strength when I had- 80 attack(It's no use to train strength if you can't hit the monster well enough can you?) 40 defence( for rune pures) 70 defence AT LEAST, if you are a regular trainer.(Torags, I'll explain why you should use this later) #1a If you are pure....well. I did train a pure before, and it wasn't very tedious work. If you want a pure with a decent amount of hitpoints, then train on experiments, till level 60. If you're wondering, the reason why I don't recommend soul wars, its.... (Please do not take this as an offensive statement.) #1 There is NO hp exp, even if you do afk(which I don't like) as you use zeal on strength, you will not get hp experience. So even if you have 99 strength all from zeal, you will have 10 hitpoints, but you can also use extra time to use zeal on hitpoints to what you want it to be, but isn't it the best if it's in par with your combat?.(What is the point of that?) #2 IF you DO train in soul wars, as train on pyrefiends, you will need to raise slayer(I will mention this later) and it needs to be level 30. I normally don't see pures with 30 slayer, but if you can manage it with 1 defence(For robe pures) then go for it. Otherwise, if your a 40 defence pure, then go ahead and train slayer. #3 Pures will die alot(I'm sorry if i am offensive, but it's true) I personally aim for pures, as their defense stinks, and I 1-2 hit K.O them. 2. Well, about experience.... I would say you should train slayer, it gives you side experience, and you access a variety of monsters which drops alot of stuff, and also give decent experience. For example: Abberant Spectres- Rannars( common) Snapdragon seeds, Rune full helms. Another thing is, if you start training slayer from level 1 and level 10 strength, you'd probably get 85 slayer by the time you max strength. Which means you can train on Abbysal Demons! For 70+ strength Pest Control(Not really reliable, as people lose and win all the time, and the exp ration is 1:2) Soul wars( I really recommend you be 90+ combat for this. with at least 70 in atk, str, and def, otherwise, you can afk(which I do NOT recommend) Yak's(Boring for me, but good experience) Tortise(People ask me about why to train on these, well, their shells are 7k ea, and theyre about the same as yak's, and have horrible defence, and also have a decent spawn rate. Just make sure to bring food.) ( I trained str from 70-85 here, made about 10mil) For 1+ Train on guards until level 20 strength Then from 20-40 train at hill giants 40-60 lesser demons 60-70 train on any of before Big NO-NO'S to training Rock crabs- I do not understand why people train here, even though theyre easy to kill. you have to activate them in order to get them to move next to you, and there are also jerks who bring a cannon. So if you can, go train at yak's. (More to come) 3. 99 strength... Depends on you. It would average about 900 soul wars points, so 100 hours if you go v.i.a. soul wars, but I doubt you'll win all that, so lets say you win at a 50/50 ratio. So 250 hours. Otherwise, if you train to 99, about 150 hours of pure combat.( you can keep track if you use barrows armor at 70+) 4. I had ALOT of debate with other people, and we all came to a conclusion that: For people with little to no money- Dragon Scimitar+Rune defender= Best way to go Decent amount- Saradomin Sword There is really no option for a better weapon, those two are the best to train strength. Whip DOES train strength, but only with controlled. So if you want to get 99 stats for atk, def, and strength at the same time.. Then good luck. Oh, and please don't use a godsword on a monster with less than 90 hitpoints, you waste your time and damage, you won't be able to use the godswords full potential(Unless it's an sgs) 5. Training strength with slayer is the best way to go, doesn't force you to keep training at the same spot, and normally the monsters are pretty easy(Unless it's skeletal wyverns and black dragons) Another very very long way, but very very very very profitable way is barbarian fishing to 99 strength. You'll make about 150+ mil with this way, but you will take a very long time. Blast furnace, keep pumping the heat pump, but make sure to bring a spirit terrorbird to refuel yourself. 6. Well, for 40+ dmg with a whip and 60+ with a godsword, yeah I'd love 99 strength. Who doesn't want high numbers? It also makes training attack and defence easier, as you hit alot higher. And it's the #1 skill for pkers. 7.None 8.None Sorry, I'm a bit tired, I have alot more ideas but I'll keep this updated. 16800000+ 15000000+ 9milGWD Drops:(Lootshare)2 Bandos Hilts, 1 BCP, 1 Bandos Tassets, 17 Snapdragon SeedsSlayer Drops: 7 Abbysal Whips, 37 Dragon Boots, 17 Mauls, 1 visage. Total Loot: 43mil+
