jalendana Posted May 1, 2009 Share Posted May 1, 2009 Does anyone know what level weapon you must have to start doing good damage to the lvl 172 Black Demon in Grand Tree? I've been down there twice - the last time I think I had a ranging lvl 39, mithril cross bow but it may have been steel - and I can find the safe spot behind the rocks, and I keep shooting bolts, but they don't do any damage. I end up having to throw myself on the monster just so I can die and get out of there. It's a bummer because then I lose some good stuff. My ranging level is a little higher now - 43- What if I went in with a mithril cross bow and mithril bolts, threw some weaken and curse spells and some fire strike spells. You might be better off with a yew shortbow and rune/addy arrows instead of a slow crossbow with mithril bolts. Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig! Also what someone said above about maging is a great option. Black demons are easy to kill with magic.
