May 3, 200917 yr Well, at the bottom it says "Powered by phpBB © 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007 phpBB Group". Not sure if that helps at all though :?
May 3, 200917 yr Well, at the bottom it says "Powered by phpBB © 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007 phpBB Group". Not sure if that helps at all though :? That's just the forum software Forum.Tip.It runs on (you can check it out here). The main site (tip.it/runescape) was styled/coded by scratch and I'm pretty sure Tip.It is run on dedicated servers.
May 3, 200917 yr what site provider did you go with to make the site and the forum put together? can someone help me? thanks! This is is the wrong forum, but I can answer your questions to some degree. I don't know what provider tip.it uses, but any provider that offers MySql, phpmyadmin and email accounts would be sufficient to run a forum. This forum is a bit more complicated than most, it used the open source phpbb forum software. You can find more information on it here. If you are looking for basic forum hosting you could try something like http://www.invisionfree.com/. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
May 3, 200917 yr Tip.it does not run on a server. It is just a testament to how awesome we are. ...and on the thirty fifth day they said "let there be tip.it and let it be awesome" and it was so. Ot: I have no idea and i'm going to stop spaming the topic now. Ponies!
May 3, 200917 yr Doesn't it make more sense to just ask an administrator than bug us poor less than techno savvy OTers?
May 4, 200917 yr This has pretty much been answered, a lot of this knowledge can easily be worked out or is visible anyway. The forum and site run on seperate dedicated servers, the forum runs phpBB with a few public and also custom modifications. And, as has been said, the site was styled/coded from scratch.
