May 3, 200917 yr I'm not much of a fan of using effect c4d's in signatures. I realize that when used correctly they can be an extremely powerful weapon, but I find them too difficult to use. So I searched for a tutorial that used none at all, and found one here. Here is my outcome: I'm very proud of it. I'm not sure how it is in a compositional sense, but in a visual sense I love it. I think this is the style I want to develop. So... C/C? :P
May 3, 200917 yr It has absolutely no depth. At least you didn't just throw some random 3D renders in there to make up for any lack of artistic talent. Although I am wondering what did you exactly do there with the background?
May 3, 200917 yr The the grungy style. A great thing to develop, grunge. The colours are really not working though. Try find some colour theory stuff on the internet. I believe nadril has some buried somewhere.
May 3, 200917 yr Author It has absolutely no depth. At least you didn't just throw some random 3D renders in there to make up for any lack of artistic talent. Although I am wondering what did you exactly do there with the background? Just a lot of smudging with some displacing and warping every now and then. And then lots and lots of gradient maps. I suppose that's where I messed up, with the color and all :uhh:
May 3, 200917 yr I think its pretty cool. Not the best but its nice. 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers!
May 3, 200917 yr I believe nadril has some buried somewhere. Color theory, learn it or at least look up the basics please. Color theory LINK Posted that a day or two ago.
May 3, 200917 yr Author Actually Nadril already posted that link, on the thread with my very first sig  It's not even a drawing, just a filter pile. Please revisit the basics. You now know how to use filters, that's great. Stop using them now. Learn the basics of design and what looks good because right now yours doesn't. http://www.johnlovett.com/test.htm http://www.colormatters.com/colortheory.html Look up better GIMP tutorials. There are a lot of links around the forum. Or, alternatively, ask some of the more experienced GIMP users for help. This sig was really just experimenting with a new style, and seems to me like it's a style I definitely want to work with. EDIT: At least it's a bit of a step up from my first sig with this render :P
