Need training advice for 99 crafting

Featured Replies

Hello. I'm not much of a crafter it being one of my lowest skills, but I think I might want to get it to 99 soon. What do people typically use for training crafting? And if there are any 99 crafters out there, how much will this cost approximately?

-Thanks :D

By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .

Green bodies to 99, thats what I did :D. It will cost about 57m with normal needles and about 28 with SC.

Good luck!

57M is what I was looking for. I"m not willing to spend over 65M on it.

So, tell me, would it be faster to play Stealing Creation and get all the tools, and then level crafting, or just regular needles without the SC tools? Honestly I don't really like SC so if the difference is huge I think I"ll just stick with regular needles.

Just save money by playing sc I mean theres a 28.5m difference. When you're bored, head to green dragons to make some money back. Minigames are suppose to be fun, remember that.

I don't like sc either hehe

Minigames rarely stay fun when you play them over and over and over and over and over again (x1230491340) :P

And it really depends on how well you can make money. If you have a reliable, efficient money-making method that would earn you something like 800k+ gp per hour (and you wouldn't get bored after 2 hours), then your time would actually be better spent NOT playing SC and then making your money back after. I believe it would take less time that way. Not a huge amount, but slightly less. Plus you'd get more xp (unless you merchant to make money). That's always how I look at it. My money-making method has always been runecrafting, so I can either spend x time playing SC and then getting my 99 or I can spend that same x time getting my 99 and then getting additional runecrafting xp to make back my loss.

If you don't like minigames and aren't in a rush, battlestaves are also a great option. I got 99 crafting using air battlestaves, buying the battlestaves and air orbs on the GE and selling the resulting air battlestaves on the GE as well. It always cost in the area of 2 gp per xp, which put it in the same range as green dhides + SC needles.

The only drawback to air bstaves is the GE purchase limit (600 staves per day), so you'll either end up taking a few months to get the levels (as I did) or resort to buying in bulk on the forums.

At any rate, it's worth consideration! :)
